In 2013, Christine Butterworth-McDermott founded the journal Gingerbread Bread House Literary Magazine, an online venue for contemporary variations on fairytales and myth.
She and M. Brett Gaffney co-edited Gingerbread House Literary Magazine until December 2022.

writers worked at GBH as editors. They include:
