Evelyn leans forward, looking directly out of the photograph, wearing a loose white gown that shows both shoulders. Her dark hair is drawn up in the Gibson girl style and she holds a delicate cream pitcher. Much has been made of the duality of her sexuality and innocence in this particular photograph.
